Last weekend I had such a good time photographing Darren & Jacqueline's engagement pictures.  The University grounds offer such a wide assortment of backgrounds, so we toured around and found some fun spots to take pictures.  It helps that they're so photogenic too!

I have been doing quite a bit of photography this fall and winter, but I have really fallen behind in updating this blog.  Over the next few days I will post some highlights from the last few months and then do my best to keep current as shoots happen!

This first set of pictures are of Andrea & Marty's Wedding this summer.  I was lucky enough to get to work with them for their engagement shoot, and it made it that much more fun to reunite for their wedding!

I had fun shooting Calla and Jaimie's engagement photos.   It was in the last days of summer when everything seems to take on a golden hue.

Dale is a colleague of mine at Warman High.  In June I photographed his son's wedding, so it was a nice surprise when Dale asked me to take some family pictures in September.

In October I had a lot of fun photographing Karyn and Jason's family. Her boys have so much energy, so Diefenbaker was a good choice for a location since there was lots of room to run around.

Baby Mason arrived this fall.  He was pretty adorable and so well behaved for our whole shoot!

Lara is a colleague of mine, and this winter I got to take some pictures of her family out at Warman.  They braved the cold, and were great models.

Baby Ashlyn came early, so I didn't get to do a maternity shoot with her mom as planned.  A perfect Christmas present for her family.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting several branches of the Miller Family.  I was a bit worried because there was so much hail and rain that day, but out in Warman it was an oasis of blue sky and sunshine!  Here are a few pictures from our photoshoot.

It was an honour to photograph Jessica & Brandon's wedding.  I had been a bit worried because of the rain and had my "back up" umbrellas, just in case, but the rain stopped moments after we began our shoot, and things just got better and better from there.   Here's a sneak peak at some of my favourites! 

This past weekend a friend from Holland came to visit me on her travels across Canada.  I thought about where to take someone from abroad and decided on Cypress Hills.  I don't actually think I've ever been there before, but I figured she would get to see a lot of prairie along the way, and hopefully we'd spot some wildlife on the way there.  We did!  There were tons of deer in the park, as well as tons of antelope on the way there and back.  On the way back we spent a couple hours driving down random grid roads in the hopes of making it to the Great Saskatchewan Sand Hills... and we eventually found them.  Here are some highlights from our trip.

Today is day one of project 365.  I'm starting it off by posting one picture a day taken with my iphone.  From the mundane to the exquisite I'm seeking a bit of beauty every day.  I hope you enjoy following along.  I'll be posting the pictures to my "Sarah Gerrard Photography" facebook page.  Click on the facebook icon to see the first snapshot.
